Alabama will have a new starter at running back this season, with sophom*ore Justice Haynes and junior Jam Miller at the forefront of the conversation. Miller rushed for 201 yards and one touchdown on 41 carries last season, while Haynes finished with 168 yards and two scores on 25 attempts. They bring different styles to the table, so DeBoer could choose to use them as complimentary backs rather than a one-two punch.
Richard Young saw limited action last year as well and is expected to share carries with Haynes and Miller. Four-star freshmen Daniel Hill and Kevin Riley will try to impress running backs coach Robert Gillespie and move up the Alabama football depth chart during fall camp.
