Parts of Speech - Alice in Wonderland - Grammar, ELA no-prep (2024)

This resource uses the first chapter of Alice's Adventures in Wonderland, by Lewis Carrol. Students read the chapter a paragraph at a time and identify parts of speech and modifiers. These 10 easy-to-use worksheets are great for both classroom and homeschool, and useful for sub plans.

With these worksheets students identify adjectives, verbs, adverbs, pronouns, and prepositions. They also are asked to identify the words that adjectives and adverbs modify. This easy-to-use resource is great practice for Grades 4-5 grammar skills.

As students improve their grammar skills they read classic literature and become familiar with the story of Alice. This is a great introduction to a classic book they may enjoy reading on their own.

Pages are numbered, and worksheets should be presented in order as the story continues through the pages.

Answer key is included for quick and easy grading.

Designed to support Common Core Standards for 4th grade, and also helpful for 5th grade review.

This Bundle includes two different formats of the same resource. The same worksheets are found in each resource. The purpose of this Bundle is to provide convenience for teachers who like to use both PDF and Google resources:

  • The PDF resource is printable, and also can be used online with TpT Easel.
  • The Google Drive version of the resource is designed to work with Google Drive. The content of the worksheets is not editable, but the text boxes on the worksheets are editable, so students can complete the work on their computer. The text boxes show up on the worksheets as a very light gray. (The text boxes are not shown in the preview.)
